Q:  Why should I choose J.Jackman Photography ?

A: At J.Jackman Photography  we not only have a passion for photography, but all the things that will set your photos apart from any others. We are one of the only photographers in Central Illinois to offer airbrushed makeup included with every girl's session and as well as professional hairstyling. From posing to fashion trends, getting the images right in camera to lighting, the perfect accessories to the perfect smile, we have it all covered. Oh and did we mention it will a darn fun day jam packed with laughing and jokes all while you look and feel like a supermodel.

Q:  I am good at makeup. Why do I need professional makeup?

A: Special makeup and techniques are needed to get makeup to photograph right in todays hi-definition cameras. The camera "wipes" away the color on your face. Using a makeup artist that knows how to work with photo specific makeup is the difference between average and stunning senior portraits. Trust us on this one ;)

Q:  How many photos will I get?

A: Your gallery will be at least 25 photos. On average a client will have about 30-40 images in their gallery. We show you only the best of the best. You may be thinking, "but he clicked the shutter SO many times during the shoot, where are all those?" Good question! There are technical things we need to take care of during the session.  We have to make rapid real-time adjustments which requires test shots, changing up composition, and solving any lighting challenges to ensure that you create the perfect image for delivery. Often times we have to rapid-fire a group of shots to ensure we get the perfect shot with no blinked eyes, the perfect sun flare and a gorgeous smile. It can take around 25 to even 50 images to prepare the camera and the model for one perfect shot! Also, your images are captured in a raw color format.  After our shoot, we handpick the final images from the session and work with each selection to bring it to its full potential.

Q:  When should I schedule to get my Senior Portraits taken?

A: The sooner the better. It is best to have them taken the summer before your senior year starts. This will ensure your yearbook prints are submitted on time. Yearbook images are due sometime in the beginning of October. We are offering free wallets for sessions booked in June or July.

Q: How do I contact you?
A: You can call or text me at 217.81.7833, e-mail jackmanjohn3@gmail.com, or fill out our Contact Form.

Q:  Do my parents need to be with me while I get my photos taken?
A: Your parents or a friend are more than welcome. It's best to keep it to a small group that you feel very comfortable around.

Q: How do I hire you for my Senior Portraits?
A: After contacting us, we will confirm availability for your preferred session type. Once we have the date we will send out some paperwork for you to complete and return to use with a $25 deposit to hold your date. The deposit applies to the session fee once you have your photoshoot. Before or on the day of the shoot we require payment for the session.

Q:  Do I have to choose and pay for my package in full before my session?
A: No, you do not have to choose and pay for your Senior Package in full before your sitting. We want you to have control over which photographs and packages you choose. We offer the ability to customize your package(s) and pay for them at your deluxe in person ordering session about 2 weeks after your photoshoot.

Q: What collections are available?
A: We offer 5 collections designed to meet a wide range of budgets. We would be happy to email you a list of our collections.

Q: Are there additional fees for retouching?
A: No, basic editing and retouching are built into the pricing of our products.

Q:  How do I go about getting my yearbook picture to the school?
A: With the purchase of a photoshoot, J.Jackman Photography will submit the image of your choice to the yearbook staff by the deadline depending upon the format requested by the school. To ensure we meet your school's deadline, be sure to book your appointment early!  You will select your yearbook photo at the deluxe in person ordering session.

Q: How many outfit changes and locations are allowed in your sessions?
A: We do not put limits on this. When you hire us to create your senior portraits you are paying for our time and talent. Keep in mind, the more time you spend changing clothes and traveling between locations, the less time you allow us to create your images.  A normal session has about 3 outfit changes and 2-3 locations. We will squeeze in as much as we can.

Q: How do I preview and order my images?

A: At your in person ordering session! A deluxe ordering session is an in person ordering appointment. We don’t want to leave you to look through a confusing online gallery and try to make important decisions.  About 10 days after your shoot, we will meet at the Edgar Coffee House where we will watch a slide show of your photo gallery.  We will show you all of the products that we offer so you can touch, feel, and handle them all you want!  We want you to know and fall in love with exactly what you are purchasing before you do!

During your ordering session, you will order that gorgeous canvas for your wall and decide which photos will go in your custom photo box.  You'll choose which wallets you want to trade with your friends. We can help you decide what photos will go best with your decor and what size would work best in your space.  Our clients love that we can help them decide what goes where and design your storyboard right in front of you, so you know it is exactly what you want! This is a $15.00  add on its optional not required!(we will email you your gallery if you do not chooe this option).

Immediately after your deluxe ordering session we will process your payments and your order will be on its way for you to enjoy!

Q:  What format will my proofs be in?
A: You will view the images as a digital slideshow and online pixiset email protected website link!

Q:  Is there a minimum order?
A: No, there is not minimum order. The average customer spends $100 on their J.Jackman Photography experience.
